Ethiopians in UK to protest Prime Misery's Visit to London

LONDOND - Ethiopia's Prime Misery Meles Zenawi would be in London this week to hold talks with PM Tony Blair and the Chancellor of Exchequer, Gordon Brown, according to information obtained from The Guardian.

Therefore, we are preparing to offer an appropriate reception for the Prime Misery.

The London-based United Ethiopian Democratic Forces (UEDF) Support Committee in the UK is organizing a public vigil in front of the Foreign Office on Thursday 26 February 2004 to protest against the state visit ofthe Prime Misery, to bring to the attention of the British and the international communities particularly the atrocities committed against our brothers and sisters in Gambella, and the expulsion of Oromo ethnic students from Addis Ababa University.

We invite you all Ethiopians and peace- and democracy-loving communities in London to join us in this protest.

Date: Thursday 26 February 2004
Place: Foreign and Commonwealth Office London SW14 2AH Nearest tube Station - Charring Cross or West Minister Bridge
Time: Starting from 1:00 O'clock in the afternoon.
