It must be clear to every Ethiopian in all the other
provinces in general, and to Ethiopians in the
province of Eritrea in particular, that the question of
Demarcation as envisaged by the so-called Hague Court
of the so-called Commission of Arbitration created by
the so-called of the Algiers Agreement is very
irrelevant. It is morally, judically and ethically
unacceptable to the people of Ethiopia for the
following reasons:
1. It legitimizes colonialism;
2. It divides One People against their will;
3. It is the product of two unscrapulous and
opportunistic groups of cripto Marxism-Leninism-Maoist
Idealogy, under the guise of Liberation Fronts by the
name of EPLF and TPLF, who had undermined the minds and
hearts of young students against a prevailing
Fascistic Military Dictatorship in Ethiopia during the
Seventies and Eighties.
4. It is an easy way out supported by mistake by the
governments of the USA and Great Britain in 1991.
5. At the moment, the people of Eritrea are kept
virtual hostage to a most heinous and brutal dictator,
so they have no liberty to speak their minds except to
repeat what the propoganda machinery says; no liberty
to walk except to march to whichever director the
dDictator wants them to; no liberty to work and live
on their own free will except to carry guns and fire
to whichever direction the Dictator wants them to
shoot. In short: they are living corpses to which the
World has forgotten to look at.
6. Finally to legitimize boundaries which was intended
by Colonialists about 150 years ago, and which has
been rejected and never put in practice and action is
by all means unacceptable at this time of
civilization.
So, Hijji'wn: Temtuna Ethiopiawiian einna (Look at us! We are Ethiopians!). This is the undefiable
voice of the People of Eritrea at this moment of
trial.
To prove: Give us Democarcy and Justice. Let the
regimes of thugs - the ELPF and the TPLF - be brought
under control. Let the UN and the Powers shoulder
their responsibility.
Thanks,
Michael Berhe
