ADDIS ABABA - Miss Ethiopia 2003 Yodit Getahun lost her titles as Goodwill and HIV ambassador to the country for failing to return to Ethiopia after her stay in Japan and the Philippines, the Ethiopian Life Foundation said in a press release. The Addis Ababa University student who won the Miss World Tourism 2003 title was succeeded by runner-up and fellow university student Muna Kidane-Mariam.
In a lengthy statement, the Life Foundation called on Yodit to contact her Life Foundation sponsors who had great expectations as a young leader.
