Ato Belew Endamelu, I read your article titled: Belligernt EPRP still unzipped – Who is Inkatha? Posted in Ethiomedia Web Site. What an article? What a maturity? You have made it very clear where you stand at this crucial time in the history of Ethiopia. Anyone can see your level of maturity and ability to understand the current political and human rights condition in Ethiopia. Whether EPRP is terrorist or anarchist or communist let the Ethiopian people make the judgement. Don’t try to deny us the basic right of choosing our leaders while you are enjoying the same even as a second-hand citizen in the USA or where ever you are.

You implied that you are a supporter or a sympathizer of the AEUP. But, I don’t think you are. You actually sound to me one of the EPRDF’s cadres. AEUP is well aware of the EPRP and other organizations which formed the UEDF. Expressing their difference does not mean that they will be enemies to each other. Quite clearly, you are Meles Zenawi’s cadre. Don’t’ waste your time. AEUP, and EPRP and the Ethiopian people are not foolish.

My brothers and sisters in abroad, I am not involved in any politics. But, back in August 2003, when I heard that 15 different political organisations have formed a united front, I hoped that our injustice and misery would end soon. I saw a light at the end of the tunnel. But now, I am so agonised to see some individuals in abroad cannot feel the suffering we are going through. Because the dream of these individuals is power. We have been controlled more than enough, people of my generation and afterwards were borne in oppression and brutality and we are still living under the same condition. We couldn’t get the opportunity people like “Belew Endamelu” and other got. We decided to live the life that people like “Belew Endamelu” and other fled. Our daily life involves being subjected to brutality, denial of basic rights to be educated, to work and live freely. I don’t think “Belew Endamelu” have two eyes to see, two ears to hear and a normal brain to think and understand what our country’s condition is. In fact, as I said above, the so called “Belew Endamelu” is likely to be one of the EPRDF cadre using his eyes, ears and brain for evil mission as his master, Meles Zenawi. My brothers and sisters don’t let this evil man distract you from your objective. Remain focused!

He is unable to look back and understand the trauma of being subjected to brutality and being treated as a second-citizen in our own country. Or he may be one of the monsters who are carrying out such a brutality against our people. I don’t think he can see the degree of our suffering under EPRDF regime. It may look like a drama to him and the likes of him. My brothers and sisters, I don’t think you need to be told, but I have to say it, it is not drama, it is real. We are suffering, we are being brutalized, and we are being slaughtered in a broad daylight.

I plea to my brothers and sisters in abroad and here in Ethiopia, not to do what Ato “Belew Edamelu” did. My brothers and sisters, I urge you to be responsible and reasonable when expressing your views. Please, please, please remember us! We are facing extinction by AIDS and EPRDF. Leaderships, members and supporters of AEUP and EPRP in particular and UEDF in general, please don’t let down the Ethiopian People. Be aware of the EPRDF cadres! Don’t let anyone jeopardize our hope for freedom, democracy and justice!
