"The President of the Ethiopian Life Foundation is pleased to announce that the Current Miss Ethiopia World, Yodit Getahun on her first international engagement, has won a title," the foundation said in a statement.

Yodit represented Ethiopia at the recently concluded Miss Tourism of the Global Contest in Moscow, which featured contestants from 30 countries, including Mexico, Italy, Norway and Malta, the statement said.

It said Yodit was the pride of not only Ethiopia but Africa at large.

She has, meanwhile, been invited to Las Vegas for another beauty festival billed for 22-26 September.
