Berlin Ethiopian Protest Rally
The Berlin Rally:
More than 800 Ethiopians gatherd in Berlin on June 2nd, 2005, in front of the German Foreign ministry to protest against the EPRDF regime in Ethiopia. The protestors demanded that German government stop any kind of financial support to the falling regime. Hundreds of ethiopians travelled more than 700km to show their support for the opposition party and demanded the Meles government to accept the election defeat before it is too late. In a letter addressed to Joska Fischer, the Foreign Minister, the Ethiopians called on the German government to denounce vote rigging, and demand the TPLF regime to lift the state of emergency. The rally has been felt throughout the city and showed that Ethiopains stand in solidarity with their people.
