Yenesanet Goh Seked forum kicks off Sept 17 at Marriott Hotel

The front and back covers of Yenesanet Goh Seked
Authored by jailed Kinijit leader, Dr Berhanu Nega, Yenesanet Goh Seked has started to hit bookstores in North America
We are pleased to announce the arrival of the long-awaited book of Dr. Berhanu Nega, Yenesanet Goh Seked in the US.

The book is dedicated to all Ethiopians who have died, been tortured and detained for the love of their country and their tireless fight to promote human rights and democracy that our country, Ethiopia, so desperately needs.

Yenesanet Goh Seked is a call for truth, understanding and responsibility and a must read and must have reference book for any Ethiopian who sincerely wants a solution to the political crisis in our country and wants to contribute for the cause. It is also a quick page turner distilling the Amharic language to its basic form for all, including for those Amharic is a second language, to understand and enjoy.

Kinijit's idea of liberal democracy has become embedded with the daily life of our families at home: children, students, women, the young and the elderly Ethiopians who continue to sacrifice for their unwavering support for Kinijit and their yearning for democracy. The selfless sacrifice and character of those involved in the struggle is humbling and a testament to the strength of their commitment for a real solution to Ethiopia’s problems. The least we can do is understand and support them. In the Diaspora we, must work together to realize what many have lost their lives for and continue to suffer today.

After reading this book, one can only aspire to contribute in whichever form possible to help bring a stop to the repression and abuse in our country. The book also will encourage us to be devoted and work hard to the progress and transition of our country to one we all will be much more proud of. Part of the proceeds will go to support the activities of Kinijit supporters to continue the struggle in Ethiopia. We salute them for saying no to life without democracy. Their contribution is remarkable and will go down in history as heroes in the fight against tyranny.

The aim of the book as stated clearly by the writer, Dr. Berhanu Nega, is to generate discussions and for Ethiopians and friends of Ethiopia to find ways to get the country out of its current crisis. To fulfill this mission, we will hold our first discussion forum on Sunday September 17, 2006 at the Washington Marriot Hotel 1221 22nd Street NW Washington, DC 20037. 3-6PM. The event is open to the public and has limited capacity. Please arrive on time.

The Book Yenesanet Goh Seked is now being distributed in the Washington Metropolitan area. It will be available in other major metropolitan locations shortly. Please visit Berhanu Nega for relevant information on online orders and distribution locations. We hope every Ethiopian reads the book and engage to work for the betterment of our country and the struggle for freedom in Ethiopia.
