Dear Editor,
I am a regular visitor of Ethiomedia and I enjoy reading some of the articles on your website, as many of my friends do. Above all, forming a sound and balanced viewpoint is what we all look for. In view of this, the latest move by the government to block alternative sources of information is very angering, to say the least.
The government has already frozen SMS, wiretapped and eavesdropped using their inept "intelligence" officers and cracked down the free press. Where are they heading to? To a totalitarian regime? Perhaps worse than the one they claimed to have struggled and removed.
Excuse me for babbling on and on, my friends keep asking me if there is any way to access the blocked sites from Ethiopia. I searched the net and found the following page where there are some useful tips and tricks.[I have not tried all, as my connectivity is not via ETC]

Email could be used as a major way of spreading the word.
Best regards,
Tolobel from Addis Ababa
