Arlington, VA - Three scholars on July 10 called for a broad alliance among the opposition in order to effect change in Ethiopia for the better.
Introduced by ALEJE Sec. Gen. Neamin Zeleke, the speakers were Dr. Berhanu Nega, Chairman of Ginbot 7 and ALEJE, Dr. Nuro Dedefo, Executive Committee member and Head of Legal Affairs of OLF, and Dr. Getachew Begahsaw, professor of Economics and a public intellectual.
The meeting, which was jointly organized by Alliance Liberty, Equality, and Justice in Ethiopia (ALEJE) and the Oromo Liberation Front (OLF), was packed to the full by Ethiopians who had come from the Washington Metropolitan area as well.
